It's not "just" sweat
As you keep pushing your limits, sweat starts to run down your face. But it's not "just" sweat. Sweat is more than water alone.
With every drop of sweat, you lose a little bit of electrolytes that you're body needs to function properly.
On average, we sweat between 0.8 and 1.4 litres per hour, depending on the circumstances like external temperature, but also your own fitness level and life stage. With every hour of exercise, we lose an excessive amount of minerals.
Symptoms of dehydration
Feeling a bit tired? Your energy level will be impacted by an inadequate hydration. You will feel fatigued and have problems focusing. Often accompanied by headache and muscle cramps. Sometimes that energy dip is also interpreted as hunger.
